Intro to Publishing with Megan Shepherd

Local author Megan Shepherd, whose debut YA novel The Madman’s Daughter has just been published by Harper Collins (and has been optioned for a movie), is presenting a publishing workshop at Spellbound on Sunday March 3rd at 5:30pm.
~~~~~~~
“Intro to the Publishing Process” will include Megan’s advice about writing queries, as well as finding an agent, self publishing vs traditional publishing, and other topics of importance to writers just launching their careers. The presentation will last about 30 minutes, with another 30 minutes set aside for Q&A afterward.
~~~~~~
Seeing as Megan’s very first book garnered a three-book deal with a major publisher plus a movie deal, it’s a good bet that she has some helpful insights! The information presented will be useful for writers with any target audience, not just young adult.
~~~~
Spellbound is thrilled to welcome Asheville native Hope Larson as we celebrate the release of her new graphic novel adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s classic novel A Wrinkle in Time. In 50 years of publication, the book has never been illustrated. Now, Larson takes the classic story to a new level.
